I have made life easy for all you bonfire night celebration anoraks out there , I have listed all the Sussex bonfire celebrations date in chronological order , all are subject to change, cancellations etc. Any changes will be listed as soon as I hear about them . All timings are approx , please check with individual bonfire society before travelling . . 
September 4th ( Saturday ) Uckfield
Uckfield Bonfire & Carnival Society
6.30pm Start Approx . . Torchlit Processions with Visiting Societies , Marching Bands , Carnival Groups , Troupes , Floats , Fancy Dress Competition and a Fun Fair.
No Firework Display Or Bonfire.
This is a very family orientated event.
September 11th ( Saturday ) Crowborough

6.30pm Start Approx . . Torchlit Processions with Visiting Societies , Marching Bands , Carnival Groups , Troupes , Floats and a Fancy Dress Competition.
No Firework Display.
This is a very family orientated event.

6.00pm Start Approx . . Go and see all the Lewes Bonfire Society Costumes compete against each other for several prizes. The only way to see the Costumes up close. Terrific pre bonfire night atomsphere. Food, Refreshments and a Licensed Bar.
Admission £2.50 for adults and 50p for children.

November 5th ( Friday ) Lewes
The Lewes Bonfire Celebrations starts about 5.00 pm and continues through to about 1 am for the hardcore bonfire boyes , In my mind there is no equal . . . It consists of the Cliffe Bonfire Society , Commercial Square Bonfire Society , Ye Olde Lewes Borough Bonfire Society , South Street Bonfire Society , Southover Bonfire Society and the Waterloo Bonfire Society all with their own celebration, processions, bonfires, tabs , setpieces , effigies and firework displays in various parts of the town.
The centre of town is definitely not suitable for young children especially those in prams or pushchairs or those that suffer from agoraphobia or wearing fur coats !
